I put some vanilla ice cream in glass to make a float, then I poured Sunkist on top. Then at the top was super orange foam and at the bottom was almost clear liquid. Why does this happen?Does anyone know why the orange color comes out of Sunkist Soda when you pour it over vanilla ice cream?
The syrup used to make Sunkist isn't very well mixed with the carbonated water. You will notice this when you freeze a bottle of orange soda: the syrup doesn't freeze, while the water does. You are doing the same thing when you pour it over ice cream.
The colder water is, the less solid (sugars in syrup are solid at such cold temps) it can hold.Does anyone know why the orange color comes out of Sunkist Soda when you pour it over vanilla ice cream?
Simplified: The milk molecules in the ice cream block you from seeing the orange color. The orange stuff is still there.
um maybe at the bottom it is the ice cream or soemthing...but i dont know thats really weird?
