What color should my floor be if my walls were colored off white or cream to make my small place look bigger?

i am repainting my whole house interior and i am planning to install tiles to make my small house look bigger, warmer and brighterWhat color should my floor be if my walls were colored off white or cream to make my small place look bigger?
Tiles are extremely practical and durable, you can wipe up spills easily, you can change colors on linoleum tile quickly by removing every other tile and replacing it with a different one. I expecially love ceramic or marble tile. It is not as warm as carpet in the winter, but you won't need to replace it every ten yrs like carpeting. I prefer a light colored marbled-effect on tiling. Light makes everything look larger. What color should my floor be if my walls were colored off white or cream to make my small place look bigger?

Light colored flooring will make a small home appear bigger. So will installing the tiles on the diagonal. I would get a light neutral color in a light shade of tan or off white or cream.

I am assuming that you have selected to use tile flooring throughout your house because you live in a warmer climate. If not, please reconsider and think of the possibility of wood flooring to add the warmth you desire. Wood flooring can be unstained or tinted to any color you want.

Sometimes the trick to making a small space look larger may not have a lot to do with the floors, but how you decorate. Small spaces should be sparsely decorated and clutter free. A small space should not be furnished with a lot of small furniture.. The furniture should be

big, however, not so big that it is out of scale.

Small spaces should not have too many things on the floor as it makes the square footage appear smaller. Use vertical storage solutions. Example: install wall shelving for books rather than a bookcase that rests on the floor.

Also, only use furniture that has more than one purpose. No end tables without either drawers or shelving. Multi purpose your furnishings. An ottoman is a great place for storage, to use as extra seating and with a tray on top, it is an end table or a coffee table. Buy a coffee table that has either drawers or a shelf underneath. You can use a chest of drawers for a TV stand and use all that drawer space for magazines, dvd's or what have you.

Small spaces should be decorated with light colors. To add style and color, do so in the way of accessories. Pillows, wall art, a throw blanket and cherished objects can add the pop to the room. Avoid entertainment units in a small space because they overpower the room. There are exceptions, though. You can paint your entertainment center the color of the wall so it blends in.

So, you see, although your floor color does have an impact on the space, the way you decorate a room can cramp the space or be airy, regardless of the floor color. So, if you have always loved cherry flooring, you can do so.
you can use light yellow tiles
Dark brown/black cherry. I would suggest hard wood instead of tiles if you're doing most of the house with it. With hard wood and a brownish black cherry stain it would look nicer, warmer, and bigger.
