My plaque is cream colored with flowers embossed on it in the same color...How can I enhance the flowers and keep it elegant?I have a cream colored plaque with embossed flowers of the same color on it...How can I enhance the flowers.?
Go over them with a slightly darker or lighter shade of the same color. Or you could outline the flowers with a tannish/brownish color.I have a cream colored plaque with embossed flowers of the same color on it...How can I enhance the flowers.?
i wouldn't
Depending on how you would like to highlight them, pick a color, or colors for the embossed flowers and purchase them in inexpensive acrylic craft paints. (Apple Barrel brand comes to mind but there are many others for 50 cents to 1.50) mix the paint about half and half with water, creating a wash. Sparingly brush over the embossed design and the wash will run into the crevices. Have a paper towel ready for any over run of the paint wash. Or you could go with the complete opposite effect and using the same type paint, without the water, dip your brush in then wipe most of it off again on a paper towel and using a dry brush technique, highlight the raised areas. Or you could even combine the techniques. This may sound complicated, but they are both really simple techniques that can be as dramatic or under stated as you like. If your plaque is really special, practice first a little on something else and have fun!
